And I think in this particular sports generation, man, I think music and sports go hand-in-hand. The same ideology we had about music and doing music back in the day and the way kids handle going on with music now, it's kinda the same thing with sports. Michael Jordan made $2.2 million a year to keep his team together, it's not like that anymore. Now it's about maximum contracts and free agency. There's not really a team you can follow because you don't know how long they're gonna stay together. It's just a different world."

Eminem Edges Out Rick Ross To Hold Billboard #1 For Fifth Week

Rick Ross may have called his new album Teflon Don, but his nonstick verses weren't slick enough to knock the crown off of Eminem's head. With a barely perceptible four percent slip from the week before, Slim Shady's Recovery is looking bulletproof, as it will lodge a fifth straight week at #1 on sales of 187,000, helping the album blow by the 1.6 million mark, according to figures provided by Nielsen SoundScan.

That means the Bawse will have to settle for a #2 bow for Don, which moved 176,000 copies, landing it well ahead of the next highest debut, Sheryl Crow's 100 Miles From Memphis (#3, 55,000).

The only other new faces in the top 10 belonged to the 18th edition of the Kidz Bop series (#5, 43,000) and the soundtrack to the new Disney Channel series "Jonas L.A.," which came in at #7 (32,000).

The rest of the top 10: Drake, Thank Me Later (#4, 47,000), Justin Bieber, My World 2.0 (#6, 39,000), Now 34 (#8 ,27,000), Lady Antebellum, Need You Now (25,000) and Lady Gaga, The Fame (#10, 24,000).

UPDATE: DMX Turns Himself Over To Police

DMX turned himself in to the Los Angeles Metropolitan Courthouse on Monday afternoon (July 26) at about 2:30 p.m. to begin serving a 90-day sentence stemming from a 2002 reckless driving charge, according to his attorney. X was arrested for DUI way back in '02, but reached a plea deal for a lesser charge of reckless driving, the rapper's lawyer, Aja Southern, told MTV News on Monday. Southern alleged that a series of events, including X having to serve time in an Arizona jail on an unrelated charge, had caused her client to postpone his L.A. sentence.
