Interview Questions
HHF: Tell everyone a little bit about yourself,
who is Cherry P?
Cherry P: Well I am single and happy. I am a psychiatric nurse, newly graduated
from Ryerson University. I am passionate in everything that I commit to. I have
five brothers and one sister. I am straight to the point- don't beat around the
bush, so I expect everyone around me to also be the same way. Time is very
important to me so I don't want it wasted.
HHF: So why are you single?
Cherry P: I wish I did have one because it gets real lonely sometimes. There
are some things that only a man can do to make you feel good, I am not speaking
of anything sexual. Friends comfort you like friends because that's all they
can do, and it would be out of their boundaries and limits as friends to
comfort you any other way. A man or a lover comforts you to a different and
deeper level. That's what I miss. It doesn't take much to impress me or
anything. To get my attention you must have a presence, you must stand out. A
great sense of humor goes a long way for me. I love to laugh so if a man can do
that, they've got my attention. I love men who are in touch with their
sensitive side. We are all humans and have emotions so I love it when a man
expresses himself to me and is not afraid to do so. The "male ego" is
a definite turn off. I love an intellectual man. Anyone who is able to hold an
intellectual conversation with me gets me tingling all over.
HHF: You got a real nice physique, what are you doing to maintain that body?
Cherry P: I was afraid you were going to ask this question. I don't have a good
answer for this one. I do absolutely nothing to maintain my figure. I am
actually quite impressed because of the amount of junk I feed myself. People
ask me this question all the time so I tell them the only maintenance work I do
for this body is lifting the quarter pounder to my lips. I do eat in moderation,
I never over eat. But hold on though, I have promised myself to start working
out so I'm going to do just that. I don't want to lose this body so I have to start
working-out whether I like it or not. Please don't follow my example, exercise,
exercise, exercise.
HHF: How long have you been modeling and why should people work with you
opposed to the 'other girl'?
Cherry P: I have only been modeling for a little over a year. I am a very fun
person to work with. I don't like tension at all so I always try breaking the
ice by cracking a joke or making a compliment to whomever I am working
with. I do try to make every shoot as fun, interesting, and as memorable
as possible. Modeling is very competitive, I have learned that the hard way but
it doesn't mean we should be serious about it. I see many girls in line
for auditions with so many attitudes, diva like, and it annoys me. What they
fail to understand is that no one wants to work with a diva. It's alright to be
serious about what you do but it's not alright to be serious and rude to those
who they work with. I don't have that "diva-like" attitude because I don't
have time to stress anyone especially myself out for nothing, life is way too
short. I give 110 percent at every shoot even when I am in the most
uncomfortable position because I know I am there to produce amazing work and
amazing work is what I will produce.
HHF: Do you think that it's a lot harder for models out of Toronto to make it
big? Why or why not?
Cherry P: Oh yea, it's very hard. I mean and honestly speaking, the only people
I know that have made it "big" in the modeling industry are Melissa
Ford and Buffy. What these two have in common is the "banging body" ideology.
This speaks volumes because I come to the assumption that only girls with bodies
like those thrive in the industry whilst there are so many beautiful women
without the big ass out there who take good quality photos but can't and don't
go anywhere. And plus. . Its CANADA. Nothing big really goes down here and when
anything big goes down, it comes down to who you know and who they know or you
are not getting anywhere close anything.
HHF: How do you feel about the state of Hip Hop in Canada?
Cherry P: Honestly, I don't know. I don't really have anything opinion about
that.
HHF: If lil Wayne came up to you and said "ma my room at 10, tonight. Be there
or be squared?" What will be your reaction and what would you do?
Cherry P: I wouldn't be shocked. In reality it probably does happen. I wouldn't
say anything, but I would just look at him in disgust and walk away. Anyone who
talks to me like that doesn't deserve a word from me. I don't need to
waste my time and breath for idiots who do not know how to show respect or talk
to a women.
HHF: When HipHopFeenz is ready to start shooting will you come out and support
us?
Cherry P: I definitely will. I have no reason to not to support you. HHF is supporting
me now by giving me this great opportunity to be a part of HHF MAMI'S
HHF: What about for our DVD we're going to need some mami's to spice it up?'
Cherry P: Count me in on that too! I would love to do that.
HHF: What can we expect from you form you in the near future?
Cherry P: Well in the future you can expect me to be nursing the ill back to
health. I am a nurse and that is my career. I love doing what I do. I will also
continue to model but it would not be on a full-time basis like how it used to
be. I hope to get into more videos and maybe winning a few contests. I want to
take my modeling to the states because I feel that there will be more
opportunities there. I love being a psychiatric nurse and love modeling
equally. One is just full-time and the other part-time. They are both of equal
importance.
HHF: Do you have any shout outs?
Cherry P: I would like to give a shout out to ANDREW B. for always
constructively critiquing my photos- I hate you for that but I am so thankful to
you for trying to make me a better model. My sister HAGAR aka baby
face for keeping me grounded and telling me that I am more than just a body-
You're THE BEST. My fans on Facebook, for motivating me to continue taking more
pictures. All my FRIENDS for supporting me even though many of you wish I was
not modeling. I am thankful to all of you for supporting, motivating,
encouraging me to be a better person. Thank you.
