Interview Questions

HHF:  Do you consider yourself an artist or a model?

Anaya Hayes:  I consider myself an artist. Modeling was something that spun out of my need for some direction. I'd come out of previous management as a singer and didn't know what to do next. I posted my press kit photos online and immediately started getting booked for work. I was naturally a good model, but I made it my own art whenever I did creative-like the photos you see alongside this interview. I find it really natural to create a beautiful photo with a photographer and makeup artist. Music is just one way I create beauty.

HHF:  How long have you been modeling and what made you want to become a model?

Anaya Hayes:  I've been modeling professionally for about 3 years. I decided to start modeling at a time when I was looking for more direction in my career. Photographers told me I had great bone structure and a natural ability-to focus and interact with the camera, so I studied the art and over time I was getting booked regularly.

HHF:  If Mr. X had to choose between you and Melyssa ford for a video shoot, what might you do or say to convince him to choose you over Miss Ford?

Anaya Hayes:  It would have to be a pretty important video shoot, because I'd really like to stay away from the music video scene. I'd say chose her-I don't want to do videos unless they're mine.

HHF:  What are your views on today video vixens?

Anaya Hayes:  Do what's right for you. I don't have much more to say since I stopped doing videos as soon as I got some real insight into what that world was like.

HHF:  If I asked you to be a video model for an up incoming DVD or music video would you be interested?

Anaya Hayes:  Uhm

HHF:  So what does Ms. Hayes do for fun besides singing and modeling?

Anaya Hayes:  I COOK! I love to cook and to read mainly fiction but I delve into non-fiction and autobiographies as well.

HHF:  For all the models and artists on the come up, what advice would you give them?

Anaya Hayes:  For models and artists I would say, make sure your heart is in it! Your whole heart. You need to know that you need this to happen for you and that you want it more than anything else. You need to know that you will devote all your time and energy into this goal, because it's difficult to make a living of it-and only the truest survive the long haul.

HHF:  What can we expect from you in the near future?

Anaya Hayes: I have plans to release my album in 2009 and have a tour dates to head that up. I have many side projects in the works and the best way to find out what I'm doing is to check out my blog daily http://www.AnayaHayes.BlogSpot.com

HHF:  Do you have any shout outs?

Anaya Hayes:  Big shouts to my team at ReignMan Music, ProductInDemand Inc and The Product Management, August who produced my second single "Love Me", Arion who produced the remix and Jonny Rox who's featured on it, big shouts to Connectid.net, FG Magazine, Sirmac TV and of course HipHopFeens.com for featuring me!
